Why should I book a professional guide?

Fishing with a pro is your guarantee of a safe, successful outing. They know the area, fish regularly and work with other captains. Being in the right places at the right time is a very important part of fishing. Pros have a large investment in the latest tackle and fish locating equipment coupled with years of experience. Even knowledgeable fisherman new to the area can learn a great deal by hiring a guide.

How many anglers can I accommodate on my vessel?

Two anglers per trip -- not including myself.

Do I need a fishing license?

All persons age 16 or older are required to have a valid fishing license. A resident or non-resident one day fishing license can be purchased online -- please click on one of the following links: Indiana DNR or Illinois DNR. It’s fast and easy!

What should I bring?

All fishing equipment, tackle and bait are provided. It is strongly suggested that soft-soled shoes be worn for safety. Other suggestions include rain gear and warm jacket (appropriate clothing for weather conditions), sunglasses, sunblock, hat, and camera. No need to even bring a lunch, it will be provided for full day trips. Most importantly, a great attitude!

I want to learn to fly fish. Can you help me?

Yes! A preliminary fly casting lesson can be scheduled on land before we ever hit the water. Once you’re on the boat, the instruction continues and before you know it, you’ve caught your first fish with a fly rod.

Will my reservation be kept if I do not send in my deposit?

A $75 deposit is required to confirm your charter. the Deposit is due within 14 days of scheduling. If the deposit is not received within this timeframe, there is a strong possibility that that spot will be rescheduled. Only cash, personal checks, or money orders are accepted at this time.
